January

I really enjoyed January. Sure it had it’s ups and downs, but overall, it was a great way to start off the year:

+ I did some sort of fitness activity 27 out of the 31 days of the month
+ Ran 13 times for a total of 84 miles
+ Swam 4 times for a total of 7600 meters (or 5ish miles)
+ Spun 7 times for a total of 101 miles
+ Went to Yoga 6 times
+ Ran at 4 new trails
+ Completed 1 race
+ Wrote 23 new blog posts
+ And still managed to fit in 9 get-togethers with friends and family

As you can tell, I keep a pretty meticulous Google Calendar, complete with color-coded sub-calendars. ☺

February got off to a good start as well. I had a GREAT run this evening! As you know, I’ve been doing my weekday runs at the track in the evenings because it’s a softer surface (which I know has really helped my body) and its lit and safe. But tonight it was closed for a high school soccer game.

Since the weather was so nice (mid-60’s!), I decided to run around the ‘hood. I was not disappointed – it was beautiful!

The sun was supposed to set at 5:33 pm, but I was able to get all 6 miles in before it got completely dark. Let’s hope the rest of February can go this well!

I leave you with some fun shots from a family birthday dinner in January:
