RW: Tues-Wed
I didn’t blog yesterday because I got too caught watching:

{How sad am I that Rulon left the show?! I wanted him to win. Now I’m not sure who I want to win…}
and

{Seriously, WHO is voting for Kendra?!? I am in a DWTS pool and she is ruining my picks!}
By the time I peeled myself off the couch, I was way too tired to blog. So here’s how the past 2 days have gone:
Tuesday
Workouts:
I ran 5-miles. I tried my best to keep things at an easy pace, but it was windy, windy, windy and I could feel myself pushing harder and harder against the wind. I ended up running negative splits – who can be sad about that, right?
Food:
I decided to start carb-loading early in the week instead of one huge meal the night before. So I made Can You Stay For Dinner’s Baked Ziti recipe (and added shredded chicken to it). It’s enough to fill a large casserole dish so I’m having it for leftovers every night this week. (I’m good that way.)
Anatomy of a Comeback:
My cousin forwarded me this inspiration story on Alicia Shay. Not only is it an inspirational running story of perseverance, but it’s also a touching life story on dealing with tribulation. It also references ART, what I mentioned in my last post.
Wednesday
Workouts:
It was a rest day. My second of three this week. I had a very hard time doing nothing today and was so tempted to lift some weights, or do something. But I was good and forced myself to rest today.
Playlist:
So instead of working out, I worked on my playlist. My music tastes aren’t complicated – pop, hip hop, rap, alternative, angry music – it all motivates me. It’s still a work in progress, so if you have any suggestions, send them my way.
I spent some time firming up the weekend plans. Not only am I traveling with friends, but I’m also going to be meeting with old and new friends who live in Vancouver. It looks like it’s shaping up to be a fun weekend!
