Medals and Bibs

Over the course of the past 2 1/2 years I have accumulated a lot of race medals and bibs.

At first I had them all in shadow boxes. I used the race bibs as wallpaper in the shadow box, pinned with the safety pins used in the race, then pinned the medals in front of them. I had 3 medals to a box. But then I ran out of boxes and the medals and bibs were strewn all over my house – on the dining table, kitchen counter, bookshelf, desk, etc. (Sorry, I refuse to share photos of my messy home).

About a month ago I couldn’t take the mess anymore so I went online and googled “race medal display” and found a number of options that I didn’t like. Then I remembered a photo that Jessica posted to Daily Mile months ago of a cute running display rack. She said she had gotten it from Etsy, so I did a quick search and found it!

Last night I finally got around to hanging it up in my hallway.

These wall racks were made by Pretty Lovely Painting.

After making my purchase, they sent me a 20% referral coupon, so if you’re interested in any of their items, email me or leave a comment and I’ll be happy to share it with you!

I have been looking for something to display my race bibs from this year and I think I’m going to get the wall rack you did.  Thanks for posting a picture of it with more than one bib on it.  I had a goal this year of running a race per month and as of today, I’ve run 14 races.  This is really monumental because I have NEVER been a runner and at the age of 40, I made a new years resolution to do this and have kept to it.  I really have Team in Training to thank as well but I love this idea.  Thanks for sharing!  And if the referral code still works, I’d love it!  :)

Cool!  I’m not to that point yet where I have too many medals, but I imagine it’s bound to happen.  Very cute medal rack!

Jess! OMG, it was so hard to hang up the rack because it needed 2 nails. It was crooked – I had to take the nail out and redo it so many times! LOL

Love it! Right now all my bibs are stuck to the side of my fridge. Kind of messy looking, I love all your medals and bibs looking so proud in your hallway! and kudos for hanging it, mine would be so crooked, all the medals would fall off ;-)
